Reflection
Select (S):
I did a math lesson with kg1 students. The lesson about counting from 1-5. This is was outcome for the lesson “K1NS2: Represent quantities from 1- 5 using concrete materials.”
Describe (D):
The lesson was for Kg1 students in the class. In the class I tried to let them to identify the number 4-5.
In the circle the students were engage with me. They preformed the five little monkeys. The students loved to do the performers. Then, the student did the active engagement. They saw the number on the board then he/she putted the same number of things in the hoops. Some of the students didn’t put the right number of things in the hoop.
Analyze (A):
The student liked the performance because they want to do something new and move for their place.
In the active engagement some of the student did a wrong action because I asked them to put number 4 or 5 and those were new for them. I let their friend to help them by asking the student” how can help hamad”. I linked the lesson 1-3 with 4-5 so it’s will be related to the students’ prior understanding.
The students were so engaged because they did the performance and the hoop activity. The students like that kind of activity because it’s let them to think, move and do a new experience (performance).
Appraise (A):
We were active when they did the morning song so we got a power to start the lesson. Then our lovely songs played by my teacher. After we performance the five little monkey song, it’s was new experience and we liked. The active engagement was new for us. This is a first time we do this activity in the class. The blacks and the dice activity were so fun. We liked when we build by blacks and tried to keep it balanced. I achieve my goal because the students can quantities the numbers 1-5.
Transform (T):
I will try in next lesson to focus more in 4-5. The students can count from 4-5 things.
