How is phonics taught in your school?

Look & Say Approach: the teacher shows them the card of A and the student say “ ant on the apple aaa.

The Phonics Approach: They only teach them this “a” make the sound /a/. They only focused on the letter sound.

They only focused on the letter sound.

 

 

What active engagement activities could the teacher have used to help learners better understand the lesson?

Use the flip the card game. When the teacher shows them the letter, they say the sound. When the teacher shows them the picture, they sing.  

 

Describe two (2) learning center activities that the teacher could have used to help reinforce the learning outcome.

 

KWC4: Forms most letters correctly using sand, play dough or foam. Bring color sand and let the student write the letter on.

The teacher can use cream to let the student write the letter on. This method combines fun and learn.
