Emergent Literacy

Emergent literacy start at the birth, it's built through the relationships and the experiences. “Emergent literacy is the idea that learning literacy begins at a very early age, long before official lessons in school” (Janovsky, n.d). Emergent literacy includes learning basic such us, concepts of print, phonological awareness, letter knowledge. Digital literacy playing a significant role for develops emergent literacy. Moreover, the students have an iPad in the home so they can learn read books through fun apps. Also, digital literacy is important because the visual student will find clear images and visual activity that’s accurate to his learning style. Also, a student using digital literacy can repeat the story, as much as they want. According to Froebel; Children acquire the language by repetition.
